Accessibility Statement

CAsingles is committed to making the website accessible and usable for as many people as possible, including people with disabilities in Canada, the United States, and internationally. Our goal is to provide a service that is inclusive, respectful, and easy to use for everyone. Accessibility statements should clearly communicate commitment, provide contact information, and explain known limitations in plain language.

We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, which is the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility. WCAG 2.2 Level AA is widely used as a benchmark for accessible web content, and W3C identifies WCAG as the shared global standard for web accessibility.

Our approach to accessibility

We work to make the site accessible through measures such as:

  • using clear navigation and readable content where possible

  • supporting keyboard navigation for key website functions where practical

  • aiming for sufficient colour contrast and legible text presentation

  • using meaningful labels and structure to support assistive technologies such as screen readers

  • reviewing and improving accessibility as the website evolves over time

Conformance status

We are working toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance. At this time, the website may be considered partially conformant, which means that some areas of the site may not yet fully meet the accessibility standard. W3C recommends that accessibility statements describe the conformance level and, where appropriate, note that some content may not yet fully conform.

Known limitations

We are continually improving accessibility, but some parts of the website may not yet be fully accessible. For example:

  • some custom interactive features may not yet provide the same experience for all assistive technologies

  • some areas of the site may still require further improvements for keyboard-only navigation or screen reader clarity

  • some user-generated content, such as profile text or uploaded images, may not always be fully accessible

If you find a barrier, we want to hear from you so we can review and improve it.

Compatibility

CAsingles is designed to work with modern web browsers and, where possible, commonly used assistive technologies. W3C recommends that accessibility statements mention technical compatibility and testing environments where relevant.

For the best experience, we recommend using an up-to-date version of a major browser such as:

  • Chrome

  • Edge

  • Safari

  • Firefox

Feedback and contact

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of CAsingles. If you experience difficulty using any part of the website, or if you need information in a different format, please contact us and include as much detail as possible about the issue you encountered. W3C specifically recommends including contact information and a feedback method in accessibility statements.

Contact email: info@casingles.ca
When contacting us, it helps if you include:

  • the page or feature you were using

  • the device and browser you were using

  • any assistive technology involved

  • a description of the problem

We aim to review accessibility feedback and respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Ongoing improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing process. We review the site periodically and make updates as features change or new content is added. W3C recommends accessibility statements be updated when content changes significantly or after new reviews and improvements

Jurisdiction and broader accessibility context

Although CAsingles is focused primarily on users in Canada and the United States, we recognize that accessibility is important for users worldwide. WCAG is intended to serve as a shared international standard for organizations, governments, and developers around the world.

In Canada, accessibility expectations and standards increasingly reference WCAG and related ICT accessibility requirements. Accessibility Standards Canada publishes ICT accessibility requirements aligned with recognized accessibility standards, and Canadian public-sector accessibility guidance commonly points to WCAG Level AA.

In the United States, web accessibility has also become an important compliance and usability issue. The U.S. Department of Justice has emphasized the importance of accessible web content and references recognized technical accessibility standards in its web accessibility guidance for public entities.

Statement preparation

This accessibility statement was prepared using guidance from the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) on developing accessibility statements and based on our current understanding of the website’s structure and accessibility goals.
