Can I message someone without matching?
No. You can only message someone once there is a mutual match.

Where do my likes go?
Your activity is clearly organised:

People I Liked → profiles you have liked

Liked Me → people who have liked your profile

Matches → mutual likes where both people can now message
Can I block or remove users?
